what do members think of zx1 for c-max 2.0l diesel I need to make this car last , as it may be my last car , i am 67

I think it may be as good to perhaps change the oil slightly more often as perhaps you will be doing smaller mileage overall and also try to make any journeys where possible of such duration as to get the engine oil properly warmed up as well as the EGR valve that doesn't like short stop start trips from cold

It's the part of your exhaust that feeds a variable percentage of it back into the inlet manifold again. It is a measure against the formation of various oxides of nitrogen that are caused when a hydrocarbon is burnt in the air which after all is 78% composed of Nitrogen

The amount of oxides of Nitrogen that are produced is in relation to the speed at which the flame front from the fuel air mix travel across the cylinder as it burns. Recirculating the exhaust gas slows this flam front travel speed down and thus the amount of oxides of Nitrogen
