Hi

Is it just me???

When I post a question I generally post it in Technical, but when I am reading through the forum, I end up opening both Technical and General sections, as both seem to have technical (or sometimes general) issues on them.

Is it time to just merge the two?

Just a thought...

They are separate because they `General ` is to cover non tech posts ie this one.If they were combined ,reading through would take longer & some posts would be missed by those who want tech info.MM

Sorry, I didn't mean THIS 'General Main' area, I meant the General areas under Mk1 Focus C-Max and Mkii C-Max etc

By way of example, in the Mk1 'Genral' section, the most recent non-technical topics (and I haven'tomitted any)are currently:

How to replace a pollen filter
Cycle carrier (admittedly, I haven't opened this topic- it might be merely where to buy one rather than how to bolt it on)
Volume on the stereo
Auto Gearbox 2.0
LPG conversion
Rain sensor
Spare wheels
selecting units on the trip computer

That all sounds fairly technical to me. Sounds like I'm not the only member who isn't clear on where to post 'technical ' stuff.

So at present, people could easily miss these clearly technical topics if they skip the 'general' sections.

I know MM is a regular and very helpful contributor - I bet he always looks at both sections of the forums though, to make sure he catches everything that he wants

I know what you mean,it was a little confusing to me when I first signed up.
Yes Alan, I do read through both sections,in fact I look at all of them now as Dan asked me to take over from Lawe as Moderator .

Hi Mike

Well that's you and me who think the former and do the latter...and I'll bet there's quite a few more like us.

Anyway, I've said my bit, so I'll leave it to 'those in charge' to consider my suggestion or ignore it - (just like when I'm at work, really).

Cheers,
Alan
