hi,
ive never joined or seen an owners group before, if good advice is given i will pass it on to others and tell other peoplle to join an owners club for there car/ van
ive had a ford c max 1.6 ghia 05 since march, after a month i noticed a whistleing noice from the turboat low speed. 60 + its ok
so i checked the air filter - IT WAS BLACK !!! andin the 2 pipes that come to the air filter had a bit of oil in. so i cleaned with carb cleaner changed air filter, oil filter etc ..
it seemed quieter but now 1 month on its started again, oil levelhas dropped a tiny bit and ended up in the air filter and whistling quiet a bit again
i would call myself a competent diy mechanic and i have a friend who is an experienced diy mechanic ( 51 reg, down )
my question is has is happend to you before, or have fixed a car like this before
would you recormend that we can fix it,or i should take it to my local garage
it sounds like somthings lose when you just set off as i said turbo is still working ok,am hoping its a damaged or lose pipe i would appreciate a few pointers as to where to look,i have a pit so its easy to look undernith the car
thanks
phil
