Had the C-Max for 3 months now and very pleased with it. We're going away for the weekend to North Wales from chelmsford. Should wacka 1000 miles on her easy

This'll be the first real long run in the car. See how the old girl copes with a 1:3 hill on a hairpinbend in the rain.

Thats if we dont get stuck in quicksand on black Rock Sands

We went to Wales a couple of months ago with the "Tin tent" and the Doomed Mondy, travelled from near Chelmsford ( East Hanningfield )
Stayed in Harlech, fortunately took best route once therehadwemissed a turn the Sat nav would of taken us down the U.K`s steepest road ( try Googling it! ), did try driving down it, a little un-nerving to say the least ( especially with Ditch-finder Budget tyres on the front! ), also had great fun rolling down it after a few giggle juices!
Enjoy, we did!

I know the bit you mean just behind the town. I remember taking the missus the first time she went to wales and we went up that hill in my (then brand new) D reg XR2. in her own words "OH F***" as she grabbed the door handle and the dasboard and all you could see out the windscreen was sky

We've only got 2 days there so gonna do the usual.
Betws-y-coed and Swallow Falls etc
LLanberis
Dinorwic
and then to Criccieth. To buy an Ice cream from the little shop half way up the hill and eat it sitting on the slipway in front of the lifeboat shed. Cadwaladers ice cream is the best!!
Well it used to be a little shop, it was last timeI went. I remember it had a green door and window frames a littlewooden counter and they only did vanilla.

The one I mean is a one way road, down! Steeper than the one that snakes up next to the Castle, although that is scary, especially meeting some prat on your side on the way up! ( Note: Hill start in a Car 4 people up and2 dogsin p!s$$!ng rain on a 1 in 3 hill on budget tyres= not a lot of tractionevenwhen usingvery careful clutch control!)
Lovely place mind, not fancy trekking up Snowdon?

Ah, those large slate mountains, the Ffestiniog railway... been a long while since I've been there.
But all the best trips start with a large little chef blow out!
