i have 2006 c-max 1.6 zetec,needing new front tyres,any sugestions?

2006, 1.6zetec jeans blue.

Avoid Conti's they are poor. Depends what you want from them. Personally, I'd say for good mileage you can't beat Michelin though they are pricey. I have used Bridgestones, Goodyear and currently Toyos with good results. The best grip was the Bridgestones and mileage the Goodyears. Pirellis, Avon and even Hankook are all decent to be honest.

2004 C-Max Zetec 1.8 Duratec HE Petrol, 151,000 miles still going strong..

had contis on me last three fords, averaging 13000 mile on a pair , great dry and even better wet weather performance !! Love em wont have anything else , truly and believe me i give em some stick !!!

They grip OK yes, but are useless for high mileage such as i do - I got 13K out of the original fronts on my c-max - dreadfulmileage on a low power car such as mine. NCT 5 Goodyear did 28K but were right on tread blocks, just legal and were not noticeably poorer grip than the Contis. Now that's better!

I'd go with the NCT5 or the later excellence as well. Find they work best with the 1.6 TDCI at around 36 psi all round
