Is the trip computer and radio display suppossed to stay illuminated after locking the car ?

Had the car 6 months and not noticed this before, maybe never locked it in the dark before..

When I unlocked it, the interior lights came on along with the little lamps under the exterior mirrors which I can understand.

When I locked it, the interior lights went out but the trip computer display and radio display stayed illuminated.. It went out after about 15 minutes !!

Maybe it is suppossed to, but I don't understand why it should..

Thanks

Mine does the same. Really confused me to start with.

04 plate Ink Blue 1.8 Duratec Ghia. Mods so far, club sticker on rear window and stereo upgrade, 4Q sticker on bootlid and Smurf hanging from rear bumper.

More mods to come as i\'m allowed to.

Mine does that too, but I find it annoying! The CD player goes off when locking the car but as you said the trip computer stays on for 10-15mins. Is there no way to somehow change this so that when the car is locked the trip computer stops too?
Thanks!
