hi all just wondering i have a tdci 1.6 auto on an 06 plate been in the family since new . when pulling away from a stand still its really slow to react ,i know all deisel autos are like this but itsa bitfrightening at times on rounabouts etc . will chipping help much or is this the price i have to pay for having an auto . plus anyoneknow a good garage for a 40000 mile service in kent london borderthanks

Do you leave the diesel in auto to pull away or do you knock it down the box manually

I remember a long time ago driving a diesel auto LR discovery that the only way to fell safe on entering a motorway was to knock it out of auto

from standstill putting it in tiptronic or whatever its called makes no difference
