Hi All

Still new to this forum as I only picked my C-Max up yesterday, but was wondering if anyone has removed the liquid tyre set up in a favour of a space saver spare wheel?

If so, how much am I looking at, including the jack?

Also, is there a standard size space saver wheel or are they different to each model?

I bought myself a spare 16 inch focus wheel from a scrappy, not a space saver and painted it and got a trolly jack for about £15 from lidl.

It raises the floor up a bit but I'd rather have a tyre instead of gunk.

I checked out partsgateway and I thought that I'd post their quote so that others can use it as a comparison:

1361677Wheel £36.00
1480006 Jack£32.50
1556718Brace£4.75
1633281Pad£4.75
1471645Retainer£3.89
1258516Tyre (NO STOCK)

As far as I could tell that includes delivery but i wasn't 100% sure. As you can see it seems to work out a little cheaper than the main dealer but not quite as much as i thought.

Thanks frs 163, I didn't realise that the C-Max uses the same wheel and jack as the Mk2 Focus - I'll keep an eye on e-bay as £70 sounds more reasonable for something i hope to never have to use.

Just bought a space saver, jack, brace and tow eye off ebay for £65 delivered. Removed the entire pump kit and retainer, lined the spare wheel well with some rubber matting, put in jack and brace then popped the space saver over the top - nice and snug, no rattles to annoy me! Didn't feel happy having the 18" wheels and no spare on todays pot-holed roads. At least if it all goes wrong on a sunday afternoon I can get home and not be left at the side of the road.
