Hello all,

Would like some advice regarding the average cost of an annual service.
We've been quoted 170 for the Ford service or 69 by the same mechanics (Arnold Clark, Newcastle)
The difference being that the parts are not official on the cheaper service.
Why the big difference and what would you recommend?

Many thanks

Dealership labour charges are often higher and you know they use reputable parts. Locals have cheaper labour and potentially dubious parts. Normally for a vehicle in Warranty you go with Ford then once it has expired a local.

Don't think there are actually that many parts changed for the "basic" service except oil & filter and perhaps the air filter most of it is just inspect / check
