Hi CMAX fans ! I have had my Grand CMAX for two weeks and love it. Sadly I've found a problem today and it could have led to a serious accident (in my eyes)

The outer second row seat (behind the front passenger seat) is sliding back and forth on its rails, but does not lock in to place.

Has anyone else had this problem , and if so was a part broken , or was it a simple fix ?

About to take family on 300 mile trip and discovered this half an hour before leaving. My 5 year old has been using this seat (with child seat obviously) and the only thing that appears to have kept the seat in place is the centre seat

I bought this car from a main Ford Dealership (Ford Direct) and am perhaps over reacting but very surprised this wasn't picked up in its pre sale checks or RAC checks - to my mind if we had endured a heavy front impact - the child or whoever was on this seat would have been flung forwards at quite a rate.

Good job its a seven seater and I can move the kids around, but doesn't help with the packing plans !

Cheers

Domini
