Hi Guys,
I'm considering downsizing from a 02 Seat Alhambra 1.9tdi 115bhpto a 04 c-max 1.6tdic 110bhp. The only reason for this is that the Alhambra is only returning 38 to 40mpgand as I do 500 miles a week of mostly motorway driving (around town the mpg is even worse)the economy of the c-max is calling to me.

But the other consideration is boot space, I know the c-max is 550L but it's the shape that is of most interest. The big question is will a standard folding pushchair (britax or mclaren type) fit in the boot either lenghtways or across? Diagonaly is not an option as I have other things to carry.

Thanks in advance.

Torq.

P.S. I've done a search of the forums and can't find any info on pushcahirs!

My grandson's pushchair only fits diagonally.

I downsized from a Galaxy and starting to wish I hadn't. I'm onlly getting 36mpg tops out of the C Max (1.6 petrol) compared to 46 - 50 mpg from the Galaxy (1.9 diesel).

Hi Guys,
many thanks for the replies, they are helping me decide if I want to go and look at the c-max I'm interested in tomorrow, and if I like it I'll buy.

One last thing.... anyone want to do me a massive favour and measure their boot so I take the last step in the decision making!

Thanks.

Torq

Above no longer necessary. The wife just found the dimensions for the boot a copy of the sales brochure she downloaded.
1055mm x 850mm.
So.... our pushchair is... 1100mm. Guess I'll just chop the handles off!Edited by: Torq

Dont forget its a MPV and with all the combinations of configuring the rear seats its easy to just lower one section of it to get longer items in. With the rear seat removed its nearly a van.
