Hi all. I have a 2008 C-max Zetec 1.8 TDCi. The ESP light on the dash illuminated so I took the car in for an examination. I was told that the ABS unit needed replacing. I am by no means an expert but surely if the ABS was at fault, wouldn't the ABS light illuminate and not the ESP light ? EMG motor group have estimated a cost of 1,800.00 to replace the ABS unit. Stunned to say the least. Any thoughts please. Thanks Paul.

ABS & EPS are connected in that both will have input from the Wheel sensors. The EPS will also have accelerometers included

Have you got any particular fault codes reported?

I don't know about any fault codes. I will have to phone EMG and ask.
