My 2007 C-Max 1.6 Zetec doesn't have the key switch in the glove box for the passenger's air bag deactivation and I've read that the wiring is there and a switch can be purchased from Ford for 18. However, then you need to get the ECU programmed by Ford which costs 160, can anyone confirm this or have another suggestion as my lad loves sitting up front with me when it's just us in the car?

Hi, unfortunately to do it properly this is the best suited way of doing it. Can I assume the 160 is to fit the kit and programme the Module?
If possible, get the kit and fit it yourself or have it fitted by someone you trust with your car, I wouldexpect an hour's labour to reprogramme the module to suit, I'd even ask to have the latest Calibration installed at the same time ( included in your 1Hr labour charge, a few more mouse clicks and it's done! )
