Hi all, its time to look at servicing my c-max 1.6tdci.

I havent looked closely yet but can anyone tell me where the oil filter is and how easy it is to replace?

The oil filter for the 1.6 TDCI is to the near side of the main engine block and under the flexible intake pipe between the air box and the manifold (It helps to remove one end of this to get at the filter
the filter housing is the black plastic item with the hex nut shape in the top that is best to use a socket and extension to loosten then you can remove by hand

when you drain the oil by taking the sump plug out don't forget the new copper washer so it seals properly

I thought you had to remove the intercooler pipe to get at the filter housing, and is it an element and not a cartridge type filter.
I had mine serviced at a ford dealers and they did not retighten the intercooler pipe bottom bolt and it rattled like mad.
