Just been reading a write up of the next Gen C-Max in my local paper The Sutton Coldfield Observer.
There`s a picture of the finished road version & fair bit of info.It says prices are £17,500 - £25,000 - on the road.
The 5 seater is a sportier & more dynamic vehicle in stying & driving while the 7 seat Grand Max is after famliys as it has more interior space & versatility.
There is a different seating systemin both which makes it more user friendly.
Engines 1.6 Ti-vct petrol with independant variable cam timing,a 1.6 EcoBoostSCTi which runs a low boost turbo.Deisels are 1.6 & 2.0.
The EcoBoost units are for those of us who want a little zest in out car as they have either 148bhp or 178bhp.

Hmmm. £17,500 eh. Me thinks I'll wait 5 years and 20,000 miles, and pick one up for £6000. Quite keen on the sound of 178bhp already. But will probably opt for the ecobooooooost, whatever that is -if only because it sounds more economical, given that by the time I get one fuel will be about£3 a litre. Come to think of it, a moped might be a better option.Edited by: romseyraver

Eco boost version sounds cracking, but think I'm going to wait a couple of years before I look at getting one.

Ecoboost is the 1.6 petrol with direct injection and a Turbo.
Hopefully they'll bring out the 2.0 DISI petrol, I've heard this'll replace the Volvo 5cyl in the ST.
Maybe there will be a 1.0 turbocharged Fox Engine in C-max, I've heard it's due to go in nigh on everything, including S-max and Mondeo!

The highest power output is 125 ps with 175nm ( 220nm on overboost ), more power/torque than the current 1.6, which I'd assume was a little lacking but sufficient.
