I'm told that the DM2 code on the VIN plate refers to "Deep Tango Red". Anyone know if this is different to the Tango Red that others have mentioned

Do note that Halfords don't reconise this code so you may have to order paint from Ford

My wife has a silver Fiesta and the birds love pooing on that also. They dont seem to like my Magnum Grey 1.8 Ghia (petrol) CMax, they rarely poo on it!

As a result of the following website
http://www.fordpaintcodes.co.uk/ford...-and-cmax-2005

I have to admit believing the wrong codes on the VIN plate refered to the paint colour
the relevent info is in the 2nd box up on the L/H side

In the example photo this is the "Z3" (it includes the model year as well)
I've just checked mine and it matches info sourced from elsewher

I find that most poplars are green, except during the winter. My car is a dark red. I really don't like red cars, but I wanted a Cmax and this particular one was v low mileage and v cheap and I couldn't walk away. The colour has grown on me, however, and especially as I have realised that I cannot see it from the inside. Interestingly, I read an article on the web over the weekend that stated a correlation between car colour and reliability. According to the stats, grey and blue cars are the most unreliable, silver cars are in the middle and red cars never go wrong .
