Hi...

I haven't had my 04 Focus CMax 2.0 TDCI for very long(6 months), and would just like to ask some basic questions. I bought the car from a small garage, in good nic, needed the space as I now have a baby. Its just clocked over 60 000miles, and pulls like dream.
1. What is the standard service interval for these? When will the service light come on?
2. Roughly what does a standard service for these cost? Just need a rough idea.
3. Does anyone know a good mechanic in the Edinburgh area?
Thanks, any help would be much appreciated.

In order to answer the first two questions, what type of driving do you do and how many miles per year?

Hi, Servicing is due every 12500 miles or annually, 37500 is a biggie with Fuel filters ( & Plugs if it were Petrol ).
I was quoted between 130-175 for First ( basic ) service from Fraud garages. Independent garages usually offer far better value and customer service.
Unfortunately unable to recommend a garage near you.

I`ve just had mine serviced & MOT`d at my local independant garage. They did full service (12,500),inc pollen filter(),found nothing wrong at all so it flew the MOT & they charged me 150 all in.I thought that was brilliant & will defo use em again (did last year too).MM

Hi... Thanks for the replies.
I do mostly town driving, and a few long drives maybe twice a month(100miles+). I only do +/-2000 to 3000 a year. I'm only asking, as I bought the car 6 months ago, and the clock has just gone over 60500miles. I don't know when it was last serviced, as the service history was a bit inconsistant, but it passed the MOT when we bought it, no problem.
So, after 60000miles, when would the next scheduled service be, as in when will the service light come on?
I have checked all the usuals regularaly, its not using oil, but may need new brakes soon. Just wondering if I could get all of it done at the same time.

Thanks,
Matt.

Thanks for the info...Mickey.
I was kind of working around the 150 mark for a service. Yes, not sure about taking it to a dealer, heard about the high prices and bad service. There's a small garage where my folks live, spoken to them before, much more friendly then a dealer anyday.
