I've recently acquired an 06 C-Max and have bought the Ford sunglasses holder to go above the driver's side window.

I've removed the blanking plates from the interior roof.

Do I now need to drill two holes and secure the holder with a couple of self-tapping screws? There appears to be a metal bracket inside the recess where the holder fits, but it didn't come with any installation hardware so I just wanted to check that I wasn't going to see sunlight if I started drilling in there

TIA for any advice

I suspect those blanking plugs are where the grab handle would go for LHD (foreign models) It may be that the glasses holder fits with the same. It may be a case of using the exploded dealer diagrams and the options

Yes, the blanking plugs are in the same position as the mounting points for the handle on the passenger side. I'll have a look at how that handle is secured as I'd imagine the glasses holder should use the same means.
