20 weeks.. and my new 61 plate C-Max is now outside the house! Took it on a trip around central Scotland yesterday, put a 150 or so miles on it across everything from twisting lanes to motorway, and I'm really, really, impressed.

A few niggles, mostly to do with the sat nav and stereo system, but for now I'm putting that down to user error!

Did anyone order the space saver spare wheel? I did, and it cost extra, but I don't seem to have received the inflation kit that I thought I'd get as well, anyone else experienced that? I may call the dealer on Monday and see what they say.

Like I said, so far so good!

I believe the choice is either the wheel/jack or the inflator with bottle of goo. You don't get both. However, there are several for sale on ebay, including an aftermarket kit which goes by the dubious name of "Slime Emergency Car Tyre Smart Repair Inflator Kit" See

There are also several of the standard Ford/Continental kits available too. The "Slime" one is quite reasonable at 26.50 including P&P and will probably do the job if need be. It may be a cheaper option than the Dealer if they choose to charge you.

Thanks for the info - it's not meant to be there, then I probably won't bother. There's a cavity on the floor of the rear seats on the right side, with some foam in it that looks like the shape of an inflation kit.. I guess it would have been there. I'm happy enough putting the spare on with the jack, don't need to spend any more money for now!

Yes we had the 'spare wheel' and use the spaces in the foam for storage

Hi Mosh,

I haven't noticed any problems with the accelerator - seems 'normal' to me.
