Hi all, In my new Grand Cmax (61plate) the ESP light is showing up all the time even when the engine is off. it was like that when i bought the car. is this normal or is there some thing rong?

Hi. I think the ESP can be switched on and off using the menu in the on board computer, controlled from the left hand stalk. It may just be that. Have a look in your handbook for the instructions. If that doesn't get rid of it, there's no harm in going back to the dealers and asking about it. They'll be able to set you right (Hopefully) and if something is amiss, you'll get it sorted.

If it is on even when the engine is off then that suggests a problem
(by engine off I presume you mean with no key in the ignition?)

Hi Richard and Big budgie, thanks forthereplies, you can see that theESP signisshowing upand all the time likeso (picture below, traction control on mode)but it does not flash orbrightly illuminate, if i tick traction control off (on boardcomputer) it brightlyilluminates. is there any more information you can add to this.
