Engine Cover

Hi all im a newbie after some info on a 1.6 TDCI, 07plate zetec which ive only owned for a week or so, i was stood looking under the bonnet and it seemed like there was something missing to me, so can anyone tell me if the above model is ment to have a top engine plate/cover, there is some lugs there but not sure if thats what their used for. Any info would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Neil

Hi Mate

I've got an 08 1.6 and noticed the same thing. However, the dealer told me this was how they came. Looks odd to me though.

ok thanks for the info mate, its odd isnt it, everyone ive asked cant make up there minds as apparently some do and some dont ie different years. Strange how there's lugs for it to fit to, and engine seems to be getting dirty and dusty. i will go on a quest to see if any other years/models fit and bodge. I will let you know my outcome. Thanks again.
