Denso SatNav - codes?

Hi all,
We have a 54 reg C-Max Ghia fitted with a denso sat nav. My partner is a member on this site but as I am the main driver I thought I'd hijack his account for this post . I just had the dreaded Limited EPB function light come on today. It has gone off but I am having nightmares of a dead battery in the next few days from the posts I've read.
This car was sold to me without any instruction manuals. Does anybody know if the Denso needs a code after battery replacement like a normal car radio would? I know about the diagnostic and master codes, I just mean a normal code to restart the unit after battery issues.

Thanks!
Mariana

First you need to check the alternator out put before replacing the battery use a multimeter set to volts across the battery look for 14.2 volts, if u don't have a meter do a search and you will see how to enter the extended menu in the instrument cluster which give you battery voltage!

And yes the unit will have a code but you will need to take it to your dealer as they need to fax off your info to retrieve the code!
