Hi.
I intend to change the cam belt on my 04 reg 1.6tdci and wondered if anyone had detailed info for doing this.
The last time I enquired Haynes didn't include this model in their maintenance books.

Hi Will, tbh, if you have no mechanical background it's probably best you leave it alone and get a mechanic on it!
But, if you have a basic mechanical understanding it's fairly simple, there is even a hole to insert a 12mm bolt/drift to lock the engine to undo the front pulley bolt!
If you're interested, I'll give a description into how to do it. I would do this now but am typing away on my phone!

Thank Kevmond

If you could give me the details that would be great. In my former life I was a Ford mechanic and I could probably do it anyway, but there's no harm having some info to hand as well.
