Hi!

I feel very fed up! and need some help.

I removed one of the battery leads today for about half an hour to try to reset the bluetooth on my stereo. When I reconnected the lead the car would not start. It was completely dead with nothing on the display or any engine lights.

The stereo, electric seats, central locking, windows all work but there is nothing on the display when i turn the key.

HELP!!

Is it an immobiliser problem? Anything I can do? I feel like I have broken my car by fiddling with something I should have left alone.

Regards

tim

The only thing that normally needs a code is the radio which you say is working

Hi,
Have you checked Fuses both behind the Glovebox and under the Bonnett?
Maybe one has popped?
Best use a multimeter on continuity, or, a 12v Test light.

It does that anyway when you turn it on without the ignition on so as to prevent you leaving it on

Do you know if you are getting a feed into and out of the ignition switch itself?

Sorry but i am not technically minded enough to check for that. I have followed the manual's instructions for resetting the keys but to no avail. The display is completely dead, no warning lights or dialogue in the LCD section. The windows/central locking all work. I have checked the fuses as best I can.

I do appreciate your input and help.

regards

tim
