Brake assist - Flat towing
I have towed my new 2017 C-Max a couple of times, with a Roadmaster Invisibrake in the car. So far, I've only had trouble with the car's brake assist overcompensating when I exited from the freeway. No matter how slowly or softly I pushed on the brake pedal, it felt like the car was determined stop the motorhome.*

Is there a way to keep that from happening? Would it help if I disconnected the battery when I towed the C-Max? I don't want to burn out my new Hytoad's brakes.

I may have found an answer. Taken from InvisiBrake Reference Information Doc on Roadmaster Invisibrake website:

4. Do not attach the vacuum booster line from the Invisibrake. If the vehicle exhibits symptoms of over-braking after the Invisibrake is installed, remove the 40A "Vacuum Pump" fuse under the hood while towing. A Fusemaster 76517 can be used for this purpose.

Re: Roadmaster invisibrake adjustments. Hybrids should*always start at 15 PSI and be adjusted up accordingly, depending on the vehicle.
