err hope the title doesn't sound too impolite...
I am about to change the fuel filter on my 2 2004 2 itre Zetecfor the first time and read in the Haynes manual that you need a vacuum pump to do this. Apparently having changed the filter you suck out the air until the fuel runs air free connecting up to the delivery side of the filter outlet. I have found a vacuum pump in my tool drawer but not sure what the diameter of the pipe is to connect up and dont want to start a job that will immobilise the carand without knowing if I will be able to use the pump to bleed it...if anyone has a pump and has carried out this work wouldyou let me know what the size is and I will be eternally grateful.
many thanks
