As the title says, has anyone ever had any problems with the remote central locking on their CMAX ?

The other morning we could not unlock ours with either key, and had to use the door lock and then the igition key to silence the alarm.

But, later in the day the remote lockingwas fine, and has been ever since ??

It hasn't done this before, and as I said, it is working fine again now.

So, why wouldn't it work the other day, it just refused to open up at all !!

It can't be the remote batteries as both now working from a fair distance, and it can't be a fuse on the car or else it wouldn't work at all.

I have heard that RF interference can cause problems, but if it was that, why only on the one morning ?

Any idea's guy's.

Ta.

We had the exact same problem with a Focus a few years ago. Only happened once every so often & always when the vehicle was parked somewhere that we'd parked many times before without any problems.
In fact I remember it also happened with my Escort a few times & that was with the central locking operating from the alarm remote...AND the brother in law's Peugeot 407...so it's NOT just a Ford fault!
Must be RF interference right enough. OR we're both being bugged by the CIA...or something.
It's a major pain, but nothing to seriously worry about.

Evening all!

Picked up my new c max today and within 3 hours, central locking off the key is not working! Now i've replaced the battery, but still no luck!

Obviously I will be going back to the dealer tomorrow, but in the mean time, any ideas?

Thanks in advance

Not that I am aware of, but there aren't any scratch marks on the screen. Will take it back tommorrow and get them to have a look at it. I will ask the question though. The auto lights still work and I presume that the sensor for these are on the screen?

Thanks

Went back to the dealer today. Long and short was that the pins were not making contact with the battery properly. And the fact that I had put the battery in the wrong way.Works fine now!!
