Hi again,
I was just wondering:After how many KM/Miles your CMAX encountering issues?
I look for a 2nd hand model, and I was wondering if there is a pattern of issues after such and such KM/miles.
Example: maybe many Cmax Owner encounters engine issue after 50 000km, etc...
It should help me looking for models with less KM- So far I target anything models 2008 below 80 000km, maybe it's too much already?
Maybe it's stupid also, as fault could be really random-

But if a few users say "yeah after 60 000km" I had to replace such and such it could means "pattern"

I think most faults accure at any miles but the diesel seem to suffer more than patrol model ,Having said that iv a 2.0 petrol 57 plate already at just 10k it is suffering with intermittent stuttering and today a stall but because it hasnt brought the eml on no codes are registering and on checking the mot history it had a rear bush replaced at just 6k so sometimes it shows that even with little miles things can go wrong.

57 plate c-max 2.0 zetec petrol power in ocean blue,

I would avoid one with an Electronic Parking Break (EPB) at any mileage you just dont need it or the expense if it goes wrong. Try to get one that has had a new Exhaust Gas Valve (EGR) fitted and reprogrammed by Ford. Ask if its had a new Alternator if its a few years old, a new one will set you back around 250 and they seem to fail regularly.

149,000 miles, 1.8 petrol. Had brake discs, pads all round, battery, alternator, steering rack and front suspension arms. Not bad really. Engine is still perfect. Had car from new and change oil every 6-8k.

Can't fault it -great motor.

2004 C-Max Zetec 1.8 Duratec HE Petrol, 151,000 miles still going strong..

2L TDCi, 103000 miles (~165000 km?):Crankshaft Position Sensor at about65000 milesEGR Valve at about 90000 milesServiced on schedule. That's it apart from wear& tear items, an early niggle and a bit of dealer incompetence scattered in there somewhere.Have got 30000 miles out of PrimacyHP tyres under the front wheels.Known mid-high mileage issues on 2L TDCi seems to include EGR,alternator and clutch/DMF. Have seen very nothing to suggest issues with fuel system, injectors, turbo and cambelt (If anybody else has then I'd like to know).
