Hi all.

Our washers have not worked since buying our 04 a couple of months ago so took to Kwik Fit (I know, I know...) but they did a great job in dismantling the whole system, wheels, wheel arches etc. and clearing it through only todiscover that, in their opinion, whilst the motor is making the right sort of noise, it is actually doing nothing and is therefore cream crackered.

Just wondering about where to get this replaced. KF promised to get a price and call but haven't bothered. Soshould we go for thesmall local garage that has done work on all our cars over the years,Ford main dealer (is it THAT difficult to do?) or back to KF?

Certainly not something that I or t'other half can attempt as we are both hopeless with anything mechanical!

Did Kwik fit remove the Pump? Reason for asking is the Grommett that holds the Pump in to the Bottle has a fine gauze on it, this can become sludged up ( if washer additive has been used ) to the point where water will not pass through it!
Maybe try local garage to remove and clean gauze, upon removal it should become clear if Pump or Gauze is at fault.
