This is a photo of my first car. I got it when I was 16, paid £450 (if only now)
I spent my spare time doing it up, resprayed it whacked on a set of deep dish rostyles. took the head to work, portedand polished, valve regrind. There was not a speck of rust on it. passed my test when I was 17 1/2 and away I went. The original Essex £anny magnet. I saw it in a pub carpark in Billericay about 10yrs after selling it still looked pretty good. Sold her for £600 about 3 years later.Edited by: marshal

I think like most of us we`ve had cars we wished we`d kept.I know I would have kept my 83 Audi Quattro most of all.

I wish I had kept my first car.

It was a S Reg Nissan Micra Twister in Apple Green, it was a cracking car, no PAS no leccy windows so was basic to say the least, needless to say the local garage pre-registered hundreds of them in Apple Green with the reg starting in S*** HUD, it was always good fun spotting a fellow green car with the same reg, needless to say since I sold mine in 2004 I have never seen it again!

Ah yes but I needed the alarm because of the PYE stereo cassette (20 watts rms per chanel)......RMS being most important,Coupled with the 11 band graphic equaliser with spectro peak analyser!!!!

Did you spot the Car and car conversions magazine, free sun visor top tint, oh and the green Barking college of technology carpark pass. Edited by: marshal

I loved the mk 1 escort. I drove loads of them - funnily enough they werealways in pale blue with white doors, had a big illuminated box on the roofwitha whirling blue disco light perched on top.Used to enjoy driving on night shift and changing gear without using the clutch.
