Just thought I`d let you all know,I`m off to France on Tues morning for this years LeMans.I`ll be there for a whole week catching up with old friends, partying & maybe getting my hands dirty (if I`m lucky).
I will take my laptop so I can keep up to date with things & post the odd() post (falling down liquid allowing).
I`m back a week on Tuesday so think of me suffering while all of you relax & was your Cars.
Wishing you all could come too.

Have a good, safe and enjoyable trip!
You lucky so and so. When I think of you whilst washing my car, please consider a thought for me doing Lateshift this week! Therefore unable to consume some falling down liquid, looks like you'll have to have my quota this week!

Hello everyone,I`m back at last.
What a fantastic week I`ve had.Borrowed a BentleyArnarge Red for the run down, while I was there & for run back.
I`d forgotten just how wonderful these cars are to drive, especially over a long distance.
We got to circuit hotel on Weds evening & once settled in & had dinner,we drove to the track for a looksee.Well you can`t not go & then not have a play at the fair can you.
There were lots of cars out for qualification & that was good.
Thurs saw us catching up with friends at Audi, then watch days running & more qualification.
Spent friday out & about in town (car drew good crowds) & around various parts of track ( no not driving around it).
Managed to getlift on Sat as didn`t want to get caught in huge traffic jams in Bentley (meant I could have a few drops of falling down liquid).
Stayed from start to finish at track (yep all 24hrs) & still had some energy to party with the gang after Audi`s win.
Stayed local on Mon as there were other people to see & left Tues morning & got back last nite.
I did try to put some posts on our site, but had trouble finding s decent place to send from.I did manage to read a couple of posts but not many.
I`ve been catching up on sleep today & just returned Bentley.
Have I missed anything???

Goes to show,no matter how much you test new engine/bits,you can never beat a good blast at LeMans.
Next year should be interesting cos diesels will have smaller engine capacity & fuel tanks. All ads up to a much closer race between petrols & diesels.

Hope Aston have half a chance next year. that would be up there with Bentley in 2003.
Shame the Jag was a disappointment.

I heard Audi arerunning adifferent type of engine for nextyear. any idea what that could be?

Think it may be some hybrid but don`t know if it`s petrol or diesel based.
They are going through the rule book for next year with regards to building a closed top car instead of current open top.
They should start testing all new ideas from Sept onwards.
