Hi all,

Just thought to let you know me and my good lady have just became home owners today, we have just purchased a two bedroom house in Edinburgh for the sum of 120K, I stuck my bid in at 9am and at 10.20 my offer had been accepted.

Really Can't beleive it, still settling in.

Cheers guys,

Yeah I've resigned myself to living a skint life, at the moment my lawyer is getting the house revauled at the moment for the insurance purposes.

Great news, well done to you both

Make sure you get insurance, been with direct line for ages and have found them both the cheapest and easy to deal with.
So the start of bills, bills oh and bills no begin!

Hi Guys,

Many thanks for the replys, we're used to bills, bills already as we live in rented accomodation at the minute, but we thought the time was right to purchase a house in a shared equity market so the scottish goverment own 40% of our house and we own 60%.

At the moment our mortgage adviser is working on quotes for house insurance, life insurance and our mortgage at the moment seems to be about 400 a month fixed rate for two years.

And Richard G I did think about trading in the Max to make a bigger deposit on the house, but when our mortgage adviser gave us a quote to stick down a mortgage ie 3500 I realised we could use our savings to pay that.

The best thing is I have a potential C-Max Owners Club member in our new street as we passed another silver one, so will have to stick a wee note on the windscreen.

It might be an idea to design a flyer that everyone could use and that is easily printable on a basic injet printer - Thoughts

Sounds good Richard, I admit I'm not good at that sort of thing but if someone on here wanted to do it, it would be a good idea.
