I am new to the cmax as I had a zafira 19.cdti 120ps and it was wrote off, the thing is the gearing is very different when I slow down in traffic in the zafira I was in second and could drive off ok , the ford you have to go to first while still moving as it would nearly stall.
How do you find it?

Depenfs on the engine size and especially if it is diesel or petrol
Noy noticed any great problem with out 1.6 TDCi.

It is a bit hard not to stall if you try pulling of accidently in third

I`ve also got a Tunit kit on & K&N filter. At the moment the Tunit is set on 5 which means I have 160 BHP & 260lbs torque approx. If I take it to 9 I get 200bhp & 300lbs Torque, but also needs tyres fairly often if not Very careful!

Not on a C max but on my current car, a SEAT Leon Cupra TDI I have had it remapped, which increased power to 190 bhp and 300 lbs/ft torque and my insurance company didn't increase the premium at all.
Thats with Adrian Flux, there are a few other companies that don't charge for having remaps, chips etc. All of themain insurance companies like Tesco, the AA etc will charge you through the roof for having a remap or tuning box.

A bit off topic. I just have informed my insurance company that I have changed my alloys and wish I had not bothered now as my policy has gone up by 160. I only changed them from 16" to 17".

thats a shocking amount, try a company that specialises in modified cars, even though you've only changed your wheels they still might be cheaper.
Adrian flux who i'm with were cheaper with my remap then all the other companies were to insure my car as standard.
