Another moan about some Muppetts!
Took car ( Wifes Fiesta ) for its Courtesy check at 1700 miles old, along with dozen Warranty issues, one of which being Tram lining which suggests slight toe-out of front tracking.
anyway, upon collection comes the news no fault found ( surprise! ), so, anyway, I go out to car which was as filthy as when I'd left it, along with wheels with no indication that tyre valves had been removed ( pressures checked on Courtesy check!? ).
So, I stormed in to be told theyre not checked on Courtesy check?, I said in light of tram lining issue this would be the first check ( and still part of Courtesy check) to be told there was no fault found therefore no action would occur, no tracking check, no tyre pressures nothing!
If I wanted Tracking checked it'll cost ( remember that when you paycompulsory 750 warranty cost on new car! )
Anyway, long story short, its going into another branch again, wether in spec or not, Tracking WILL be checked/adjusted.
AAAARRRRGGGHHHHHH!!!!!

Would that be the Robjohns Rd muppets or the SWF ones?

Didn't ask, was reeling from the Shock of their pricing, she did offer 10% off straight away though!?
Also, they wouldn't stamp the book if I supplied the parts unless I gave them the reciept. I had "obtained" an Oil filter, still in box etc, what was I going to do, put a non-Ford Oil filter ( with relevant Part No's on it! ) in a Motorcraft box?
SWF were pants when I had a Seat trim adrift, I think most Dealers are useless around here. EAG in Billericay are prob one of the better ones ( better when I worked there ), along with Rayleigh weir. You local to me then?

Hi Kev

Yes, I'm near Chelmsford, so I assumed you were talking about Lookers (ex-Dovercourt). You know what they say about never ass u me - it makes a donkey out of all of us (or something like that).

As I've posted elsewhere, both SWF and Robjohns Rd Chelmsford have let me down badly, and I won't ever go there again, now that my car is well out of warranty (which of course is the only reason I went there in the first place).

Am I allowed to recommend a garage on this forum? If so, try Chelmsford Accident Repair Specialists, if not, apologies to the moderators.Despite the name, they do servicing & MOTs as well as bodywork (I have no connection with them other than as a satisfied customer).

Alan, as far as I'm aware hard facts are not slanderous, so recommend away!
As soon as mine is out of warranty ( might as well be now its over a year old! ), I'll be doing all the maintenance myself bar the MOT ( ex main dealer, currently attend, I mean work for Ford at Dunton ), I know a few good testers I can trust, so MOT's not a problem.

My local dealer's rubbish too, When i was looking for a C Max they had one i liked so i booked a test drive, they then sold it in the morning of the test drive and didn't phone to let us know so we drove over and waited 40 mins for some snotty sales manager to tell us, then on the way home the sales guy we booked the test drive with who had actually sold the car phone to ask where we were
Then when i bought a C Max from elsewhere i had to take it to them for warranty work, they phoned the first day to ask if they could keep it overnight then kept it for a week, because the boot switch is on back order, that was on the 28th of Feb and it probably would still be there if i hadn'tcreated such a fuss as they still haven't phoned to say the part is in stock.
