Recently had the front discs and pads re-newed on my 2003 C-Max Zetec 1.8 as they were quite distorted. The steering wheel had started to judder under braking and whilst driving at speed. Thought the new discs would cure the vibration, but they didn't. have had the fronts balanced which has greatly improved the vibration, but I am still getting it slightly through the steering wheel, but also on the accelorator pedal. Is this normal, or does anyone know if there is something else I need to be checking?

Do you know if the Hub/Disc run out was checked with a Dial test indicator?
If the pedal is pulsating, I'd say the discs are faulty, maybe the thickness varies enough to push the caliper piston enough to displace brake fluid thus giving the pedal its own vibration, alot more common with Drum brakes but not impossible with Discs, were the discs " Cheap " or OE parts?

could be faulty discs, sticking calipers or a badly worn bush that seem the most obviuos. do t=you feel the vibration through the whole car, or just the steering wheel? is it evident at all times or just when braking?

Mainly the vibration is through the whole car, but only when I go above 60-65mph. There is no vibration at all when I brake.

No new tyres. They are due for renewal though as they have worn unevenly on the outer rim. I have had the front wheels balanced recently, after the new discs were fitted. Is is possible for tyres to go 'out of shape' and would this cause vibrations?
