I bought the new grand c max in january this year having had two previous c max cars i was happy to go with anoher ford but so far the car has proved more than disappointing with it having been back with the dealer on three occasions so far. The first time was because of an engine error light coming up on the dash which resulted in a software update which suprised me with it been a new car but since then its been back twice with a leaking windscreen, the first attempt to fix or i should say quick fix it was to pump some adhesive from the inside to the trouble spot which is at the top of the screen where the two sensor wires are the water seems to come down the wire and then down the screen and that didn't work. the second attempt was to take out the screen and reseal it back down as if it was a new screen but it was the original screen refitted but just today after a few hours of rain i can see the problem is still ongoing. I,m none too happy with the whole situation and am contacting ford ireland first thing monday morning , i,m wondering if anyone else is experiencing anything like the trouble i am.

I think it might be worth also noting to Ford and Trading standards of the fault occuring within 6 months of purchase and that for replacement purposes it is considered to have had it from new under Trading Standards regs

Sale of Goods Act has specific reference to Northern Ireland so I would presume that it applies there
