the other day, I noticed that there was a damp patch near the gearstick on our cmax. Looking up, i saw some water drops hanging off the front interior light cluster - just above the rear view mirror.

As the cmax has recently had a new windscreen, I thought it could be a leaking seal, however, for the water to get to the interior light cluster, it must have come in further up - possibly around the radio aerial point. Thing is, the headlining seemed to be bone dry.

Anyone else come across this - could it be condensation of some sort?

Any ideas greatly appreciated.

Ive heard of water ingress in front footwell, and in the boot, but not in the headlining.

If you have heated screen and/or rain/light sensors there is an earth strap fixed up amongst the ariel fitting. I would take it back to the screen fitter and get them to fix the leak.

Could be the the aerial seal perishing. Had this on my old van, I just put some sealant around it from the inside and that solved it.

04 plate Ink Blue 1.8 Duratec Ghia. Mods so far, club sticker on rear window and stereo upgrade, 4Q sticker on bootlid and Smurf hanging from rear bumper.

More mods to come as i\'m allowed to.
