2006 C-Max 2.0 TDCI Zetec. For 20 years I have hadVauxhalls and as a mobile engineer thrashed them all over the country. Each did well over 100,000 miles; the only fault a duff sensor on a Vectra. None of them had a fault light come on due to low DPF fluid (212) or failed its MOT on the suspension bushes (700)six weeks after being told by the dealer the car was perfect on a free health check. None of the Vauxhalls had to have the top suspension swivels changed (210) or indeed the battery fail. The C-Max has had all of these in the last year and we have just come home on the bus again because the damned thing would not start in town. This time its the starter motor (367). I got the car with 26,000 on the clock it has now done 73,000.

yeh well I had an astra that was 6 years old with 35k on the clock and I spent about 7k (or would have without the warranty direct cover)on repairs in that 6 years and am surprised the AA continued to recover me. Guess it's the luck of the draw I recommend warranty direct quick.

I can also vouch for Warranty Direct. I had cover for about 4 years on a 2.0 HDi Xantia 110. I never had any claims as big as yours, but, over the 4 years I almost broke even. The best bit is that they also provide a rescue service, so you don't need the AA or whoever. they also provide up to 7 days car hire if yours is off the road, and 1 night's hotel accommodation if you get stranded due to a breakdown. Only stipulation is that you have your car serviced at a VAT registered garage. You can claim for some things that aren't even covered under approved warranties! The cover tends to become more expensive and restrictive as the car ages and the mileage rises though.
