Hello all. I only recently purchased a 2005 Focus C-Max 1.6 TDCi. I read some horror stories on here before I got it, but I have also heard many positives so thought I would risk it on a FFSH version of the car.

Having driven it for a few days, I see there are two lights on the dashboard that never seem to go out. I can't figure out what they're for, and fear that they're some kind of warning lights. So I hereby throw myself on the mercy and wisdom of the experts here. Apologies if it's a dumb question. I expect many will know the answer immediately. Here's a photo:

Light A - looks like a red snowflake. I have seen it show up as yellow as well, but it is mainly on red.

Light B - just a standard round yellow light on the bottom right of the rev counter.

Can anyone help me and let me know what these are supposed to be telling me? Should I be worried?Edited by: Falcon

Not having these on mine I think
"the snowflake" is a low temperature warning for possible frost. I don't know why the different colours unless there is an extent of frost

No idea about the other though

the snow flake details from p92 of the manual

At temperatures between +4C and +1C, the orange frost warning lamp illuminates. At temperatures below +1C, the warning lamp glows red.

Have you tried filling the washer bottle? Maybe the 'B' light is a constant reminder of the displayed fault.
Yellow snowflake indicates under 4c, Red under 0c.

Yes, the B light will go out when you fill the washer bottle.

Thanks guys. I took your advice and B light went out. I guess the snowflake light makes sense given the crazy weather we're getting at the moment.

The snowflake is indeed a low temperature warning. Goes orange when it goes below 4C and red once it goes below 0C. Hope that helps.
